Wow, I have been a veteran Internet user for some time now, and I have never seen a revolution like this.

For those not in the know that code that is in my lovely title is not just some random combination of letters and numbers.  That would be dumb.  That is the encryption key for several HD-DVD's that are in the market right now!  You can, if you have an HD-DVD player, hack these little suckers and that's the code that will deactivate the copyright AACS encryption.  Which the MPAA is trying to take down.  I don't think it's going to work now.

Now this whole thing started on Digg where the users flooded the site with tons of stories with this code in it.  But it then went crazy like wildfire clogging up Ted Steven's Tubes like we really don't want Ted Stevens to get his email.

There is already a song on the Woot Podcast about this
There is several photoshopped images of this code
There's a tattoo
There's even a Facebook Group!

It's so cool that users are finally standing up to the big corporations and saying, "We like your content, just quit putting up walls for us to get it"

The Internet is sick of the dumb restrictions that harm users that just want to use content THAT THEY'VE BOUGHT anyway they wish.

So Vive le Revolution people!

I need to get me some HD-DVD's

Toodles!
