Super Secret Writing Project revealed!

  • Okay, so I lie a little bit. I'm not really going to fully reveal all the details about said writing project, but at least a few small tid-bits of said writing project.

For those who have been following my Jaiku account you would have noticed a few posts about a “Super Secret Writing Project” that I've been working on. I know, I know, I should have talked about it here on my blog. But before my avid readers get upset, I have had good reason not to mention this sooner. I wanted to get deep into the project so that I have something to write about, instead of just an idea that may not become reality.

Well, I'm here to tell you today, that I have reached the 1/3 mark of the project, and I can now talk about it.

Suffice it to say I am writing a novel. Yes, that's right a novel.

I've been toying with writing a book for some time now, and I have had several good ideas and some great ideas that I have to wait until later to do. However, the novel idea I'm working on is going to be a podcast novel. Yes, much like the Rat Pack of J.C. Hutchins, Scott Sigler, and Tee Morris of podcast novels, I am venturing into that same world, with I hope, an eager and ever growing audience. That is the goal anyway.

The novel idea has only been fully revealed to a few close friends of mine and the feedback I am getting is they love it, and I'm doing a good job. And that is their criticizing comments. At any rate, even Shadow Falls writer Mark Yoshimoto Nemcoff has been privy to some details of the story, and he even talks about it on one of his podcasts. It's Word Sushi number 3 or 2 I believe. And he thinks its a really cool idea as well. Mark, if you're reading this, thanks!

Now, since I've been babbling about the said “idea” for several paragraphs now, I feel I must give some details in regards to it. The story is a superhero story. But this story has an interesting angle that I don't think has been looked into before, which even Mark has mentioned. I wish I could give more info than that, but I wanted to tease you all a little about it, and let it simmer in your brains as to what the All Mighty Snowball can come up which that would make you want to listen as a podcast each week.

What I can tell you is that the plan is to have the book finished and hopefully edited by the end of this summer, and ready to be podcasted by the Fall or Winter of this year. That's the plan anyway, if it works, it works. If not, well let's just say my goal is to have this out to you all soon, and by hook or by crook it will be done.

So anyway, stay tuned to this blog for more updates in regards to the Super Secret Writing Project, and how it's coming along.

Take care, and as always, I remain, obediently yours…

    Toodles!
