I don't know where that quote came from, I think I may have made it up. If I did, wow me! I patent it right now!!
At any rate, you ever get into those slumps where you have a lot to talk about but everything is so blocked up in your head, you can't actually get things down?
Well thats me lately, especially in my writing. My original goal was to have a lot of stories written this week for my book, but nothing materialized. I got a lot done for my show, but beyond that nothing.
It's weird sometimes being a creative person. You kind of expect that at the right times you are to sit down and develop in your mind this masterpiece. It may not be a masterpiece to the world, but in your eyes it's just as important as one.
The creative guy inside of me(I call him George) is telling me to “Get off my lazy ass and write!” Then there is another side of me, the logical side of me(I call him Larry) telling me “Wait, you have to get things done first, you need to rest your body this week. You will never get a chance to relax until school's out.” That is true, however to me writing is relaxing. Arrrgh so frustrating!
Larry and George are not speaking to each other at the moment. Hence the blockage.
Suffice it to say, I want to write, and who do I look for inspiration?
Wil Wheaton.
Suprise, suprise. Amazingly enough what he wrote in yesterday's post was exactly what I am feeling, but didn't know what it was until I read it.
That is why, Wil if you are reading this, I am dedicating the book to you.
Wow, I am a geek. Wait, I am a Geek!!! Not a bad title!!
……uh I need to go. Larry and George “need to talk”
Toodles!
