Snowball has been Infected!

  • Snowball has been Infected!

So April 1st has come and gone, but not for your ol' pal Snowball. I, like I'm certain many others, pre-ordered my copy of Infected by Scott Sigler at my local Chapters. Unfortunately, I could not take part of the “Sigler Day” as other Original Junkies did in their own respective town stores. I was never able to make it to Chapters to pick it up.

Well today, after anxiously waiting, I finally made the trek to Chapters to pick it up. It honestly looks fantastic. Crown Publishing did an awesome job with this book. I actually asked the clerk when I went to pay my dues to my Dark Overlord if other people have been buying this book. He told me he hasn't seen anyone. This to me means that apparantly Siglerism needs to be evangelized more in the Niagara Area. So I will don my evanglical hat to say if you are in the Niagara area, head to your Coles, or your Chapters, and please pick up a copy of either the book or the audio CD. (Which by the way, the Audio CD was completely sold out at my Chapters, so I may not be alone here in the area).

So after I traded gold pieces for my copy, I wandered around the store to see the shrine they set up for Siglerdome. Well, suffice it to say, no such luck. However, I did find the book prominently displayed in the, wait for it, Manga section? *insert record scratching sound here*

Since when is Infected a Manga book?

Yes, it is true Infected along with other horror titles were in the Manga section. I found this to be funny, but I also was outraged! This will not stand! So I found the nearest Chapters clerk and chicken-scissored his ass! That's right I cut him open like a sushi chef! After several bloody screams he was able to point out that the horror section was right behind me. So I turned around in the aisle to see Horror was prominently displayed along with the many Stephen King novels in plain view.

So, I let this poor man go, but after I forced him to buy a copy, and not with his Chapters Employee Discount either! It was the best Life or Death choice he could make.

In conclusion, if you have not picked up your copy of Infected. Please do so. Check out your local bookstores, or head to Amazon.com or head to http://infectednovel.com or head to http://scottsigler.com to check out the podcast of the book. I know I will.

cheers, and as always I remain obediently yours….Dark Overlord.
