I'm just about to go out with Shane, to go see Accepted.  I'll let you know how it was.

So I saw Accepted tonight.  All I have to say is, it is Hi-Freakin-Larious!!!  I may get totally chastised from my movie fanatic peers, but I really, really enjoyed this movie.  Justin Long was great in it and sold the part well, but the best performance has to go to Lewis Black who pretty much stole each and every scene he was in!  And the writers seemed like they based his entire dialogue on his act.

Sure it had it's kind of bland moments, but all in all the jokes and the comedy bits were great, and hit each high note in the joke.  Especially the last joke of the movie which was such a side splitting joke that every single person in the theatre were literaly splitting their sides from laughing.  People were still laughing when leaving the theatre.  Even myself!  It was such a good end to a great movie.

Go see it, or download it if you are that kind of person who downloads movies instead of enjoying the Money gauging ticket prices in an air-conditioned, comfortable seats, and a giant 50' screen.  Go right ahead and watch it on your tiny PC (or Mac) monitor.  Enjoy, and let that bare on your conscience!!!!!!

I'm done.

Plus Sunday, I'm going to go see Snakes on a Plane.  This is going to be a fun movie-packed weekend!

Ok, so I definitely saw Snakes on a Plane Sunday night, and let me tell you, I freakin' loved it!  Yes, it was a pretty cheesy movie.  I mean, you know what happens, there are these Snakes, and they are on this plane.  And that's it.  Nothing more, nothing less.  I'd have to say it was one of the most entertaining movies I saw all summer.  It's definitely a movie you want to see with your friends at a movie theatre.  Reason why is because you will never get the same experience on DVD as you would within the theatre.  It's almost like an experience you need to share that will entertain you and your friends.

Reasons why you would love this movie are simple, and I break it down to my top five movie requests for anything snakes related below.

5) “Where did all these motherf—— snakes come from?”

Any movie that has more than one monster in it to terrorise us lowly humans is a definite must.  I don't want to see Jaws of a Snake on a Plane.  I want to see Snakessssss on a plane.

4) “Damnit!  This motherf—— snake bit me!”

I just hate it when movies with snakes in it, never show the snake biting someone.  You see it all the time.  Even as far back as old western movies.  The snake always bites off screen.  Or in say Anaconda, you never see a person get bit or swallowed whole.  You just assume that they get bit or eaten.  SoaP has none of that.  You see everything that the snake does to a person.  It's sick, disgusting, and damn right funny at the same time.

3) “How do I kill these motherf—– snakes!”

In movies there is always this one way to kill a snake, and usually only that one way.  You never see how many multiple ways to kill a snake.  But SoaP remedies that by not only showing you multiple ways to kill a snake, but kill them with style!  Including something you all wish you could do, or would do on a drunken bet, and that is take a snake and put it in a microwave to blow…..it……..uuuuUUUUUPPP!  And oh yes you see this in every gory detail in SoaP.

2) “Damnit!  This motherf—– snake bit my (insert body part here)!!!”

Imagine the one body part on a male or a female that you would love to see a snake bite in a snake movie.  And I can guarantee you, it's in SoAP!  Want to see a snake bite an eye?  SoaP's got it.  Want to see a snake bite a tongue?  SoaP's got it.  Want to see a snake bite any private part?  Oh, yes, SoaP's got it.  Let's just say you definitely will think twice guys answering the call of nature when you see this movie.  If you catch my drift.  Ouch!

1) “I'm sick and tired of these motherf—- snakes on this motherf—– plane!”

Just that line alone, makes the hype on the Internet for that line all that worth while.  Booyea!!!!!

So that is my short list of what is good about Snakes on a Plane.  One last thing I should mention, yes it has a cheesy story (not much to it, and it doesn't throw a curve ball plot twist in it to fake a good story), very stereotypical characters (from a flirtatious Flight Attendent, to a Egotistical rapper, and a tough FBI agent partner to Samuel L. Jackson), and some cheesy special effects, (the majority of the snakes are CGI), but all in all it is a very fun entertaining movie.  So go see it with friends, you would enjoy it.

Oh and btw, “All praise to the Playstation!!!!”  LOL  Had to throw that in there.

Toodles!!

As those of you know that are in my neighborhood or read this blog, I love Vox, maybe a bit too much.

You know those people that are addicted to their myspace accounts?  Maybe you are one, but honestly I can't stop logging into my VOX account and just exploring all the people that are here and what they are posting.  Is there like a 12 step program I need to take soon?  Because I'm already past the denial stage, and the admittance stage, so what else is there?

At least this looks better than myspace though.

Ok, so I lied to you.  Yes, I know I said I would get another audio-VOX out by Monday, but with work, plus me being part lazy, I am recording it tonight and getting out first thing.

But anyway, I just wanted to make a post saying that I have just spent about an hour (would've taken me faster, but I'm at work with a slow connection) moving posts over from my old blog to Vox.  I have finally made the jump.  I'm here on Vox to stay.

The blog entries that I moved over where all blogs I made in an expermient where I forced myself to blog at least once a day for a whole month.  I missed maybe a few days near the end,but I was proud of the fact that it lasted as long as it did.  So,if you want to read them all, clck on any of the tags labeled Blog a Day.

The entries I like are:

Breakfast with the Breafast Club

Entry #005 – Snowball's Mixed Bag of Crap

Entry #006 – Nurse Ratchet vs. Fish Guy

Entry #013 – Opening up? Pshaw

Entry #0024 – Holiday Weekend

Hope you like them, and let me know what you think.
Toodles!

When you were younger, were there any game shows that you religiously watched and wanted to be a contestant on?

Where in the World?

I'd have to say the only game show that I watched religiously was on PBS called “Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?”  If you ever read the books or played the old school PC games of the same name, you would know what I'm talking about.  But for those who don't, WitWiCS is a detective story where you the reader is a junior detective in the ACME Detective Agency, and your main cases were to chase down Carmen Sandiego a mysterious woman mastermind of an elite band of Evil thieves out to steal the world's most famous landmarks and artifacts.

The books were like those choose your own adventure books where you get a case where one of Sandiego's henchmen (which were wild and crazy characters in themselves) stole say the Grand Canyon(yeah the items were that wild) and you went on a goose chase around the world looking for clues as to where that henchmen is, and where the Grand Canyon was.  You would interview people, go to places and get clues as to where the henchmen went next.  It was basically a race to catch up and find the henchmen before he got too far ahead.

Along the way as well you find clues as to which henchmen it was that stole the item.  And if you are lucky you would find and capture the head woman herself Carmen Sandiego.

Now when the game show started it was in the same vein of the books.  Kids would be contestants on the show, get a case from the Chief, and “travel around the world” to catch the henchmen.  They would get questions about the place they were in and they would get points for how many questions they answered correctly.  Then whoever had the most amount of points or whichever(I can't remember exactly, it's been a while) the final contestant would compete in the final round to match capital cities which were on big cards and match them to the country on a big map, and if they got all the cities matched correctly in 60 seconds they would “catch” Carmen Sandiego and win a trip to anywhere they wanted in North America.

It was an awesome show, and also very educational.  They also had “Where in Time is Carmen Sandiego?”  But it didn't last as long as the first one did.  I remember they had this thing where if you wanted to sign up as an honorary member of ACME Crime Agency mail them a letter and you would receive a newspaper from ACME about the show.  I do have that newspaper somewhere in my room.  I'll have to find it now.

So that's the game show I would've loved to be on.

Does anyone else remember the show?

Toodles

So I thought I would try video blogging on Vox to see how it will work.  As of right now I haven't figured out if there is a way to put the video into an enclosure for an RSS Reader, but still a Video Blog is still a Video blog even without enclosures.

So anyway, this video was something I originally made for SteveSaylor.net, which I am more and more
convinced to just move over to Vox, because well it's Vox.  LOL.  This video was made back at the beginning
of June when Pixar's Cars first released.  My friends Shane, Joanne, Jaime, Margarie, and Kim went to see the movie at a drive-in theatre. Which I have to say is the best way to see Cars, just because you’re in a Car watching Cars. Hence, the title.

Anyway, I took like 39 minutes of footage of the night, that when trying to cut down to around 7 minutes, I had to cut a lot of footage out, so you won’t see Margarie, or Kim, but they are there, and they had a blast.

So without further ado, I present to you Vox bloggers, my first Vox video Blog.
